It is my great pleasure to introduce you to Jozay Longden of Psychology on Hay.
Jozay and myself would like to warmly welcome you to join us at a nurturing and transformational retreat we have coming up in November. And here is Jozay to give you some insights into what we have planned for you.... Understanding & Nurturing Your Internal World When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself. When you lose touch with yourself, you lose yourself in the world. — Eckhart Tolle Eckhart Tolle’s words really resonate with me. I find when I am able to see my inner world clearly, I have an enormous amount of clarity and I am better able to care for myself and give myself what I need. I will be hosting a wellness day on November 18 and Priscilla and I welcome you to join us. Numbers are limited to 18. This will give you the space and time to explore your inner world. Let us introduce you to the concept of "Mindsight". This is a term coined by Dr. Dan Siegel to describe our human capacity to perceive the mind of the self and others. It is a powerful lens through which we can understand our inner lives with more clarity, integrate the brain, and enhance our relationships with others. Mindsight is a kind of focused attention that allows us to see the internal workings of our own minds. It helps us get ourselves off of the autopilot of ingrained behaviours and habitual responses. It lets us “name and tame” the emotions we are experiencing, rather than being overwhelmed by them. With mindsight comes clarity. Recognise your habitual automatic pilot responses to situations and learn how to break your old habits. Learn how to lean into your emotions instead of avoiding them. Join myself, Jozay Longden (Clinical Psychologist), and Dr. Priscilla Brockman (MBBS) as we explore our internal worlds and learn how to nurture ourselves through the emotional storms of life. Learn how to tame our emotions through the use of essential oils, sound and meditation. The day will end with a sound meditation with Julian Silburn. Time: 8.30am – 4.00pm Date: Sat 18th November Venue: St. Catherine’s House of Hospitality 113 Tyler St, Tuart Hill WA 6060 Lunch and morning tea will be provided. Please bring a yoga mat, pillow and light blanket for the sound meditation. Please note spaces are limited (18 places) so please book early to ensure your place.
