20/8/2012 5 Comments Believe in yourself!Believe in yourself! This is something we hear not infrequently, but what does it mean for us really, and how do we get there? An experience I had yesterday really brought this to my attention. I am definitely a people pleaser! I love to help people and want people to like me. That in itself is not a great problem, but when I look to other people for approval and for a measure of my self worth - then that is a problem! I also realized that I seem to place more weight on a negative comment than I do on positive comments from people. (Unnecessarily cruel to myself I think!)
We can't expect everyone to like us or approve of who we are and what we do. What matters is that we approve of ourselves and believe in what we do. If we can always rely on ourselves for that support, then it gives us all the strength we need!

I agree. Be True To You. I used to moderate how I would express my ideas because of how I thought some people would react...and I began to feel I wasn't being true to myself and my experience. I have been pleasantly surprised when I speak honestly and confidently, people have then approached me with shared ideas and interests...and the others have faded away. Thanks Priscilla for your insight!

Yes it does sound interesting that you got and get such a buzz out of these stones. You must have an affinity with them. Not every one would feel the same though would they?
